Shoe Us The Love!

Frequently Asked Questions
How are you different from other clubs?

Our club was founded by a dedicated group of parents, coaches, and non-parent members, united by a commitment to reshape youth sports by removing the negative aspects often associated with competitive play. We prioritize the player above all else, focusing on their personal and athletic growth, and fostering a positive, supportive environment where each individual can thrive. While we aim to compete at the highest levels, our primary goal is to nurture well-rounded athletes who enjoy the game and develop both on and off the field.

What does my payment include?

Your payment covers everything needed to support your player’s growth and success. This includes access to top-notch facilities, specialized coaching, strength and agility training, uniforms, tournament fees, and development clinics. We’re dedicated to transparency, so you’ll have full access to a Google Sheet that tracks all income and expenses, keeping you informed about exactly how your contributions are used.

How competitive will this club be?

Our club is committed to building a competitive core roster capable of performing strongly in any tournament. We start by selecting tournaments that match our team’s skill level and gradually advance to higher-level tournaments as the season progresses. Our focus is on developing and growing as a team from within, without relying on guest players unless absolutely necessary to ensure we can play.

How will you develop players?

We take a collaborative approach to player development, recognizing that no single coach has all the answers. Our club works with a team of specialty coaches, each focusing on key areas like hitting, fielding, pitching, and catching to provide comprehensive training. We also use a tiered system—Impact Core, Impact Rising, and Impact Development—that allows us to develop talent within the club. This structure offers rising players opportunities to compete at higher levels, supporting their growth and progression in a way that’s both challenging and rewarding.

What are my player's participation requirements?

Players in the top tiers are expected to attend as many practices and clinics as possible, with a minimum requirement of one agility training session each week. While we understand that family and school commitments sometimes take priority, consistently missing team activities may create opportunities for other players to advance on the roster based on their commitment and effort. No player will be penalized for necessary absences, but dedication to practice is essential for personal and team growth.

How does the tier system work?

Our tier system is designed to help players develop and compete at higher levels without sitting on the bench.

**Core**: This tier includes our primary roster of 10 players who compete in every tournament. These players have a balanced mix of specialty and utility skills, making them the core of our competitive lineup.

**Rising**: This group consists of 5 players who are full team members and participate in all Core activities. For each tournament, 2-3 Rising players will be added to the roster, ensuring each has a chance to compete without missing more than one tournament in a row. This provides equal opportunities for development and game experience.

**Development**: Approximately 10 players who are eager to advance and show potential belong in this tier. They participate in specific practices, player clinics, and scrimmages focused on skill-building. Financial commitments for this tier are minimal, making it an accessible option for growth and progression.

This structure allows us to nurture talent at every level and gives each player a path for advancement.

Are there fundraising requirements?

There are no individual fundraising requirements for players. However, families of Core and Rising players are encouraged to participate in team fundraising efforts throughout the season. Our fundraising focuses on community service projects, allowing players to make a positive impact locally while accepting donations in support of our team. This approach helps us build community connections while raising funds.

What is fundraising used for?

Fundraiser income will be used for, but not limited to:

  • Player gear (helmets, bags, etc)
  • Tournament day support (snacks, drinks, etc)
  • Family travel expenses (as applicable)
  • Community outreach (as applicable)
